Scripps Ranch Pop Warner Football and Cheer
Once again our Scripps Ranch Pop Warner (SRPW) football players and cheerleaders marched, cheered, and chanted at the 4th of July Parade and came in first place in the Youth Group category! Congratulations Falcons!
On Wednesday, Aug. 1, we start our season with two weeks of conditioning followed by practices. Conditioning and practices will be at Dingeman Elementary School and the Scripps Ranch High School soccer field, and cheer will practice at the SRHS softball field.
We have been very busy preparing for the season. We distributed equipment, collected all the needed paperwork from players and cheerleaders, and ordered jerseys and uniforms. Our coaches have been CPR certified and attended training meetings and coach clinics. We also held our annual summer conditioning camp run by the high school football strength and conditioning coaches. We were happy to see so many players come out to start getting in shape.
Players will be weight certified on Saturday, Aug. 18. Our preseason games are on Saturday, Aug. 25, at the SRHS stadium. Opening Day festivities and picture day are on Sunday, Aug. 26. Our first regular season game is on Saturday, Sept. 1. For game schedules, please visit [www.scrippsranchpopwarner.com].
Go Falcons!

Congratulations to our Scripps Ranch Softball Association's (SRSA) All-Star teams for a very successful 2012 season! Special congratulations go to our 10U Gold and 14U teams for their fourth place finishes in the North San Diego District Championships. That earned them a trip to the State Tournament in Lancaster in early July.
We look forward to our Fall Ball season starting in August. Visit our website at [www.srsoftball.org] for details.
