Hit and Run 08/22/10 Jerabek Park

Hit and Run (Property Damage Only) Sunday, August 22, 2010

On Sunday, August 22, 2010, between 9:00 am and 10:00 am, an unknown vehicle struck a parked white 2005 BMW X5 on Scripps Trail next to J-10 baseball field at Jerabek Park. The BMW was legally parked on the eastside of Scripps Trail near the main entrance to the Scripps Ranch Swim and Racket Club; just south of the Market at the Ranch Center. The driver of the unknown vehicle did not stop nor left a note as required by law.

The victim’s BMW received major damage to the driver’s side of the vehicle from the rear quarter panel all the way to the front driver’s door. The damage was both high and low along the BMW meaning that the vehicle likely had to be a truck of some sort, perhaps with a 3” to 6” lift. The damage to the suspect vehicle would likely have damage to the front passenger corner and/or along the passenger side; possibly suffering a cracked passenger side mirror.

The owner of the BMW states that her insurance may not waive the $500 deductible unless the suspect vehicle and/or driver are found.
